This red chutney is prepared to smear on Masala dosa, especially Mysore Masala Dosa. Smearing this chutney on dosa gives an added taste to the dosa.
Ingredients
2 tbsp roasted chana dal/ hurigadale/ putani
4-5 garlic cloves
4 dry red chillies soaked in warm water for 30 mins
1 tsp seedless tamarind
1/4 cup chopped onion
Salt to taste
Water to grind chutney
Procedure
Take the ingredients in a small blender or chutney grinder
Add little water and grind to a smooth paste
Serve with Mysore masala, paper dosa or any other dosas!!
If you don't like the raw smell of onion and garlic then slightly roast them in little oil and use.
