Roasted Tomato Soup

Ingredients

6 tomatoes

2 onions

6 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp oil

1 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp red chili powder

Salt to taste

Sugar to taste




Procedure

  • Wash and cut the tomatoes into two pieces

  • Slice the onions and peel the garlic cloves

  • Place the cut tomatoes, onion, and garlic in a tray. Sprinkle some salt, pepper powder, and 1/2 tsp oil on it.

  • Keep the tray in the preheated oven and roast it for 20 mins at 180 degrees C

  • When the tomatoes come to room temperature blend them along with roasted onion and garlic.

  • Add 3-4 cups of water and strain it through a strainer (optional)

  • Put the soup in a vessel, add salt and sugar according to your taste, add red chilli powder and make it boil for 5 mins

  • Serve hot soup with some butter and pepper powder
