Shrimp toast or prawn toast is a Chinese dim sum dish. It is made from small triangles or circles of bread, brushed with egg and coated with minced shrimp then cooked by baking or deep frying. It is a common appetizer in Australian and American Chinese cuisine.
Ingredients
8 prawns (deveined and cleaned)
1/2 onion
2 green chillies
3 garlic cloves
3 tsp chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Make a paste of the above ingredients without adding water and keep aside
4 bread slices
3 tsp sesame seeds
oil for deep frying
Procedure
Cut the bread into small rounds (around 2 inches)
Take around 3 tsp of prawn mixture and keep on the bread piece and press it lightly with your fingers making little wet
Roll it in the sesame seeds and deep fry into golden brown colour
