Set Dosa

Ingredients


2 cups of raw rice

1 cup parboiled rice

1/2 cup urad dal

1/2 cup thick poha

1 tsp methi/ fenugreek seeds

Salt to taste

1/2 tsp sugar(optional)

Oil for roasting dosa



Procedure

  • Soak 2 types of rice, urad dal, and methi seeds in enough water for 6 hrs

  • Soak poha for 1 hour, grind poha with other soaked ingredients into a smooth batter

  • Allow fermenting at a warm temperature for 10-12 hrs

  • Mix salt and sugar to fermented batter

  • Heat Tava, sprinkle water and pour a ladle full of batter n spread little to make thick dosa

  • Turn the dosa upside down and roast a little adding 2 tsp oil

  • Serve hot with chutney or saagu.
