Snakegourd Fritters / Poddale Phodi





Ingredients

1 cup poddale/ snake gourd / paduval kayi

Oil for deep frying

1/4 cup rice flour mixed with 3 tsp fine rava


For the marination:

Make a paste of rice flour,hing, salt, and chilli pdr with little water and keep





Procedure

  • Wash and cut the poddale into 1/4 inch roundels or semi-circles

  • Marinate with the paste as required and keep for 10 mins

  • Roll each piece in rice flour and rava mixture and deep fry into crisp fritters

  • Serve hot with rice and dal.
