Tandla Gatti/ Steamed rice bhakri is a Konkani style rice flour roti that is steamed on a banana leaf. Banana leaf gives this roti a nice flavour. As it is steamed good for health too.


Ingredients
1 cup of boiled rice
3/4 cup grated coconut
Salt to taste
Banana leaf
Procedure
Wash and soak the rice in water for 2-3 hrs, grind with coconut into a smooth,semi-thick paste
Add salt to taste and mix well
Wipe the banana leaf and cut it into big pieces
Take one fistful of the batter and spread it on the leaf and slowly fold into roll
Heat the idli steamer and steam it for 20 mins
Serve hot with chutney or butter or any pickle
