Ingredients
1.5 Cups of Rice flour
1/2 cup Maida
4 tsp Butter
1 tsp Jeera ( Or crushed Jeera)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp Sesame seeds (Black Or White)
Salt to taste
Procedure
Put rice flour, maida, salt, jeera, Chilli powder and sesame seeds in a bowl.
Mix well. Add butter and mix well so that all the ingredients and combined well.
Now add water and make a soft dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
Heat oil. Now take the tengol mould and fix it to the chakli maker.
Grease the chakli maker with little oil to prevent the dough from sticking to the mould.
Make a cylindrical shape out of the dough and place it inside the chakli maker.
Tighten the lid and start making tengol/ murukku on a plastic sheet or paper.
Once the oil is hot slowly slide the prepared tengol into the hot oil. Fry on a medium flame.
Flip the murukku and fry on medium flame till they turn crispy from both sides
Furthermore, drain over a paper towel to remove excess oil
Serve hot tengol with chai or coffee. Store the tengol in an airtight container once it comes to room temperature.
