Ingredients
250 gms Tondekai / Ivygourd
3 tsp oil
curry leaves
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp urad dal
2 tsp sambar powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
Salt to taste
Little jaggery (optional)
Procedure
Grind coconut with sambar powder and tamarind to a coarse masala
Take oil in Kadai add mustard
When it crackles add curry leaves, urad dal, turmeric powder
Add gherkins cut into 4 pieces(lengthwise)
Add little water, cover with the lid and cook it
When it is cooked add masala, salt to taste and stir well
Serve with roti or rice.
