Ingredients
1cup til/sesame seeds
1 cup chopped cashew nuts/ Kaju
1 cup jaggery
1 tsp cardamom/ elaichi pdr
2 tsp ghee
some almond slivers for garnishing
Procedure
Clean the sesame seeds, heat one thick pan and roast the til on a slow flame until they turn brown. Don't over roast the til or else they can become bitter in taste
Take the roasted til on a plate, roast chopped Kaju in the same pan until light brown
Let them cool down, grind them in the mixer into a coarse powder
Put jaggery in a pan, add ghee and 1/2 cup water, once the jaggery melts and the syrup becomes thick add the til kaju mixture, cardamom powder and mix well
Cook for 2 mins and transfer the mixture on a greased thali and roll it flat
Put the almond slivers and press it with your hands
Cut into desired shapes and enjoy
