Tiranga Sandwich






Ingredients


4 slices of bread (Cut the sides)

For the saffron layer :

1 carrot, 1 whole red chilli, 1 garlic clove, and 1 tsp oil. Salt to taste

For the white layer:

1 potato (boiled and mashed), 1 tsp butter, and 1/4 cup milk. Salt and pepper powder to taste.

For the green layer:

Half cup coriander leaves,1 green chilli, 1 garlic clove, 1 tsp jeera, Salt to taste, and juice of a half lemon.




Procedure

To make the Saffron layer:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and whole red pepper, and fry it.

  • Add carrots and salt and fry for 1-2 minutes.

  • Take it off the flame and let it cool down. Grind in a mixer.

To make a White layer:

  • Put butter in a pan and fry mashed potatoes. Add all the remaining ingredients and cook for 1-2 minutes till it becomes thick.

To make a green layer:

  • Grind all the ingredients together in a mixer.

To make a sandwich:

  • Apply Saffron paste to a slice of bread.

  • Apply the white paste to the second slice.

  • Apply green chutney paste to the third slice.

  • Place the slice with green chutney at the bottom and place the white slice on top of it.

  • Then place a slice of plain bread by placing a slice with a saffron layer on it.

  • Cut triangles and serve.

  • If you want you can apply butter to the slices.
