Veg. Masala Toast





Ingredients

4 bread slices

2 tblsp butter


For the topping:

2 carrots peeled and grated

2 tblsp finely chopped capsicum

1 finely chopped onion

2 finely chopped green chillies

1 tomato finely chopped

4 tsp oil

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp pav bhaji masala / garam masala

Salt to taste

Chopped coriander leaves

3 tblsp grated cheese




Procedure

  • In a pan heat oil, add chopped onions and saute till transparent

  • Add green chillies, tomato chopped and fry till it becomes soft

  • Now drop in the grated carrot, capsicum chopped and cook for 5 mins

  • Add all the spice powders and fry for a second

  • Add salt to taste, chopped coriander leaves and your topping is ready

  • Take the bread slice, spread the topping on the bread

  • Put the grated cheese on the topping according to your taste

  • Heat tava and toast it adding butter with the lid covered, till it becomes crisp

  • Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
